We will be extending the deadline a few more days for all the last minute registrants. The new deadline will be June 1, 2006. Please make sure to have your application POSTMARKED by June 1, 2006.
Also we have over 200 participants this year so if you are hesitating on coming, please dont. It will be a lot of fun.
Secondly, the chairman of AAHOA, Mukesh Mowji, will be attending as a guest speaker on July 3, 2006. He will not talk about hotels, but other important topics instead that relate to how the youth of today and tomorrow can succeed in personal and business life while maintaing cultural and culutral values. It will be a speech worth listening to.
Also, 4 star hotel accomodations will be provided by Hilton Hotels.

1. You are correct, as long as their parents are part of the local or regional Samaj, then the youth may attend the convention. I will make this a bit more clear sometime this week and make changes to the registration packet.
2. Yes, this still applies to the 2006 Convention
3. We have 2 deadlines to sign up. For the discounted rate you have to postmark the applications by April 15, 2006. (We may extend the date a bit longer). The second date for late registration is May 31, 2006 (we may extend this as well).
4. You can get the schedule on our homepage at http://www.bhaktayouth.com. It is available in the bottom left hand corner.

I would like to thank you for posting your thoughts here.
Let me begin by saying that the costs for the convention has increased over the years and we are unable to honor the previous registrant fees that have been used in the past.
As we all are aware in California and other places the cost of doing business and almot all goods and services have increased in price due to market conditions and high fuel prices. As a result we have no choice but to pass the cost on to the participants, while this may seem unfair and wrong, we have no other choice.
Also, the fourth of july weekend at the hotel was much cheaper and easier for us to manage than any other weekend in any major metropolitan area. We are working with a few Airlines in the next 2 weeks to get a cheaper airfare price established, and I also encourage you to check out airlines such as Southwest Airlines, America West, Jet Blue, and if possible we will try to organize with each particular samaj across the country in seeing if they can send a charter bus to help with the costs.
Please remember that you are staying at a four star Hilton in the hear of Los Angeles right along the Pacific Ocean and the kinds of activities also justify the cost for this youth conference.
I encourage you to talk to your parents and others and find a way to the convention as this is going be an educational and fun experience you will have.
